Really liked this place. Looking for a place in Bowling Green that is not bad food like Outback or Cracker Barrel... that had vegetarian options as well as good drinks and craft beers, AND food the kids would like... we found it at Novo Dolce. Promptly seated. Good service. We ordered the rustic pizza with no meat after an appetizer of hummus. The hummus was good but unusual. One expects to get bread, typically pita. But this is served with cut up veggies and apples. Apples! The pizza rocked... very flavorful. Kids liked their burger and chicken fingers (not vegetarian!). :) We enjoyed some good drinks and brews.

Highly recommend. We got there after the lunch rush left just to have some peace and quite. And our server/bartender was an amazing host. He was quite informative. The food was great that we are going there again for there special that they do with local farmers will post later of tonight's events!

This place is quite a find in BG. It's not just good by comparison, It's just really good! I don't live in BG, but if I did, I would eat here regularly. The Magnolia Salad is really delicious and whatever you do, don't skip the bread plate - it's worth the carbs. I love the wine selection too. Cool place.

With a place listed as a Gastro Pub, in Bowling Green, KY, you'd think it's out of place. I'm afraid with that conclusion, it proves to be true. This place just doesn't fit. Something is off. While the food is satisfying, everything else about it is just....not right. First, there are two entrances. One entry is dedicated to the portion of the restaurant for java, gelato, or dessert. The other entry is to be seated in the restaurant. Which, creates confusion. Next, the lighting. It's bright. Harsh. Not pleasant for the eyes, at all. I'm a huge advocate for nice moody lighting. Not only does it hurt the ambiance, but my partner in crime and myself had to move because we had a spotlight directly shone on us. Side note, our server even validated our opinion and said "yes, our lighting does suck, so sorry." Lastly, did anyone else get the vibe the place is kinda empty feeling? Cold. Drafty. Not much of a casual atmosphere? I'm hoping the place improves because it does show much promise. Work on that lighting and seating arrangement and I may reconsider a visit.

$2 Bloody Marys for brunch. The baked fish was great, but the portion a tad small, so get some bread to go with it. The Bloodys tasted great, just right amount of salt and pepper. No complaints here.

I rated this place before, and said I would change my rating to five stars when they got Coke products instead of Pepsi. I don't know if they still serve Pepsi products, but after having brunch yesterday morning, it doesn't matter anymore. The salmon cake benedict was seriously one of the best meals I've ever had anywhere. If you're reading, Novo Dolce, that needs to be a regular item on your brunch menu. The dolce bellini was also a lovely drink. I don't care about Coke anymore, I'll drink tea or water, just keep these awesome dishes coming.

Went here on a dinner date. It was the perfect atmosphere with very reasonable prices. I got a pizza which was the best in town and a beer. Great food and drink selection. Service was very friendly and quick. Genuine. Definitely going to come here a lot more often.

We stopped in on a Monday afternoon shortly after 3pm. We were informed that happy hour prices just started on their "small plates" and that they were all just $5. I ordered two! We tried the Charred Romaine Hearts served w/ portobello mushrooms, Gorgonzola and a blood orange vinaigrette & the Wings that are tossed in a sweet Sriracha sauce. The wings were grilled which adds a nice smokey flavor. Both plates were delicious and perfect size for a one person appetizer or in our case for two people to share. We were wanting to eat lite so we decided to split the Smoked Salmon Pizza. It is topped with a roasted garlic Asiago sauce, arugula, radish slivers and capers. The crust is a lite thin crust. Loved it! Our tab was just over $20. FYI, small plates are $5 Mon.-Thurs. 3-6. We lucked out but the food is worth paying full price for anytime. They had 3 Specials that day and I wish I could've tried them all! Especially their Kim Chi Pasta Salad... Maybe next time I'll get lucky and they will be serving it again. The food is tasty and perfectly portioned, menu is reasonably priced, and our server was awesome. I can't wait to go back! Definitely one of my favorite places to go in Bowling Green! It will be one of your favorites too! Must Go!

Today for it was decided that I would try somewhere I had never been. This restaurant was brought to my attention so I was ok with it. When we got the place was clean and had a relaxed feeling. Although I will admit I am a very picky eater so seeing the menu I was sketchy but I'll try anything once. The waiter who was very prompt came to our table asked us to hear the specials. He told us and one intrigued me. It was the tequila lime chicken. To be honest I hardly ever order chicken at a restaurant because its always too dry. Well I will say this it was probably the best chicken I've ever had it was moist and juicy. It was mixed with pasta and the sauce on it was amazing. Definitely recommend this dish and this restaurant.

Great food. The rustic potato pizza is amazing. Buttery top with thin crispy crust that was tender to chew. Great sweet tea too. Adult drink menu is fantastic. We will be back.

I've never had a bad experience here. The food is always fantastic & the service is great. If you're looking for a salad, try the magnolia; pub food? The bangers & mash or short ribs are killer. Definitely make it in on a Saturday afternoon to try their brunch. Novo is easily my favorite restaurant in Bowling Green.

I love the food here and service has been wonderful... The only thing I would like to see is a bike rack! My favorite part of downtown bowling green is how active people are and I have heard multiple complaints about not being able to bike there for dinner...

Poorly constructed, confused menu. The hot brown was bland and oddly cooked. Prices too high for sub par food.

Have eaten there on several occasions . Their food is good. Use really fresh produce . Make an interesting combo of foods which sound like they wouldn't fit together but work well. Price is reasonable. Service tends to be slow though so don't be in a hurry when you go there.

Great. The poutine could use curd instead of grated cheese to be more authentic but still tasty. Loved the bangers and mash. The pizza had a fantastic crust Delicious!

OK. We were just passing thru Bowling Green on our way to Cleveland and stopped for the evening. Wanting some local color we decided to check this place out. Unfortunately, contrary to the Yelp posting, only the bar is open till midnight. The kitchen closed at 10. All we could get were their homemade chips with their homemade chili ketchup. Awesome combo with the great Kentucky craft beers by West Sixth. We were comp'd a coconut house-made gelato which was soo good. We WILL BE BACK on our return trip. The staff were delightful! Great ambiance. Great chat with our server Bethany and the Manager Bryan. I love local and they do LOCAL. They have a monthly local menu put together by the local purveyors and the chef. The menu is really interesting and I can't wait to get back. I'm giving this place a five star rating because I'm so impressed with the staff and the tidbits I've had!

I come here about twice a week. Brunch on Saturday is a must. Trust the items on the menu as they are. Also they have a great bar and amazing specialty coffee drinks. The Smoked Salmon BLT would be a good place to start for first timers. That's the first thing I ever had from here. Also as far as coffee try a Nutella-spresso or a honey bee. And they have gelato. I shouldn't have to explain that any further...

This place is great. The people were friendly and the food was good. They were so busy on a Wednesday night I had about a 10-15min wait. I was alone so it would have been nice if the wait staff had a little more time to talk. I will definitely be back. I had the Salmon / Bacon sandwich and it was great

I brought my family here while we're in town for the weekend. It was amazing! We had poutine and fried calamari, which were both amazing. The bartender made me a grapefruit mojito. The service was absolutely stellar. Would def recommend this place!

I came here for lunch and had the brushetta and panzanella salad. The brushetta was good, a little different the way its served. Its basically one giant pita the size of a dinner plate and cut into slices and the tomatoes are in the middle of the dish. The salad was good, but not my favorite. It was served with sliced ham, salami, mozzarella, croutons, and tomatoes. It came with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing which I didn't care for. It was a fine dressing, but shouldn't be paired with ham and salami. I tried the fries too, which are fresh cut and very good. I just don't think I ordered right. I'd be willing to come back and try something else. The place has a lot of potential and I am normally a fan of gastropubs.

Food is consistently good, as is the atmosphere. Beer braised short ribs are a good first choice. I feel sorry for you if you get confused by the fact that there is more than one entrance like one of the previous reviewers did.

My first visit to the new location! Wonderful menu options including my favorites - the rustic potato pizza and the smoked salmon BLT. I ordered one of their small Caesar salads to go along with the meal and it was the perfect dressing to lettuce ratio. Definitely worth the stop if you are in the area.

Was introduced to this restaurant based on curiosity two days ago, and needless to say I am a fan! The Fra Diavolo is to die for! It is so good!!! I really enjoy the ambience of the restaurant as well.

We have been here three times now and enjoy all of it each and every time. From the simple industrialish décor to the great service to the amazing burgers. We have had other things on the menu also and all equally delicious. Back to the burgers though...half chorizo, half beef and a different "special" burger each day equals amazing. We have been going during happy hour when the appetizers are 5 bucks. Where else can you order a bourbon, a house margarita, two iced teas, two appetizers, and three meals for under 60 bucks? Not just great prices but quality food!!

Read my check in. The food and drinks are amazing!!! Everything is so delicious and fresh. Make sure to leave room for the gelato.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
